Cross Fit Center

In January 2010, the base announced the opening of the first CrossFit gym with the specific goal of helping dramatically improve fitness levels for Airmen.

Reach to Recreation

The base is considered to have one of the best, family-oriented recreational programs in the Air Force, including adult and youth level activities. Golf

Prairie Trace and Twin Base Golf Courses located on the base each boast challenging 18-hole courses. Both courses are open to active duty personnel, retired military, reservists and all of their families.

United States Air Force Museum

The official United States Air Force Museum is located at Wright Patterson. In addition to the permanent displays, special exhibits often visit the museum, such as the Mars Rovers robotics, the missile and space gallery, and restoration projects.

National Air Force Marathon

Wright Patterson has one of the finest family-oriented recreational programs in the Air Force, including the annual United States Air Force Marathon. Open to military personnel and civilian runners, more than 10,000 participants ran in 2011.
